Diane Knight and Bridget O’Byrne welcome you to Knight O’Byrne Independent Financial Planners. Between us, we have more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry. In 2006 we joined forces and launched our own company, applying our highly qualified expertise for the benefit of our rapidly growing client base. Having obtained the Chartered Insurance Institute’s advanced pension planning qualification Diane is registered with the Financial Services Authority as a pension specialist. Having previously spent many years in banking, Diane began her career in financial services in 1998. She obtained her Financial Planning Certificate in 1999 and has since achieved qualifications at Advanced Financial Planning level. Diane is a member of The Personal Finance Society and adheres strictly to their Code of Ethics and Conduct. Diane lives with her family in Truro and her interests include keep-fit, jogging, gardening, theatre and home entertaining.
Bridget O’Byrne
Following her successful completion of an Honours Degree in Business Administration, Bridget obtained her Financial Planning Certificate in 1995. She has gained extensive experience on providing advice on regulated investments and insurance products. Bridget is currently striving to obtain The Chartered Insurance Institutes Diploma in Financial Planning. Bridget is also a member of The Personal Finance Society. She lives with her family on the Lizard peninsula and her interests include music, gardening and the theatre.

Lucy Ambrose
Having grown up in Cornwall, Lucy attended Bodmin College attaining 10 GCSEs and 3 A Levels. She then moved to Camborne College completing an ILEX Legal Secretary diploma. Lucy spent 2 years at a commercial mortgage company before joining Knight O’Byrne as a Personal Assistant in October 2006. Since then Lucy has attained the CF1 Certificate in Financial Planning - UK Financial Regulation, Services and Ethics, and is currently working towards attaining the Certificate in Financial Administration. Her interests include playing tennis for Falmouth Tennis Club.
Kym Lounds
Having studied History at University of Exeter and obtaining a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree, Kym subsequently went travelling around the world. Having worked for Knight O'Byrne for 15 months, she is now working as a Trainee Research and Report writer and studying for the Certificate in Financial Planning. She has obtained 4 exam passes since November 2007 – CF1 UK Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics / CF2 Investment and Risk / CF4 Retirement Planning / CF6 Mortgage Advice. Her interests include travelling and she is a qualified SCUBA diver.
